"Helping women break silence & reclaim power"
My Story
Hi, I’m Ketia Valcourt — counselor, speaker, mentor, and author of Her Silence Enslaved Her. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, I am a first-generation Haitian-American and the youngest of four. I’m a Registered Clinical Social Worker on the path to full licensure and hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Central Florida, where I also earned my Bachelor’s degree after completing my Associate’s at Miami Dade College. I’m a proud member of Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., where I’ve strengthened my leadership and community-building skills.

Since 2016, I’ve spoken on stages, served on college panels, and led powerful conversations around healing and generational change. I currently serve as President of both the Youth of Valor Empowerment Alumni Association and the Central Florida Alumni Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi. I’ve gained these experiences through years of dedicated service and leadership across various organizations. I’ve mentored over 40 young women, hosted 50+ service events, and increased community engagement by 20%. I’ve also led therapeutic and empowerment groups for individuals of all ages — from children to the elderly — on topics such as grief, depression, anger, anxiety, healthy coping skills, girls' empowerment, and more.

Thank you for being here. Let’s rise, heal, and lead — together.
